Green, Frozen Meal
A ten-minute meal, made with a bit of pasta, collard greens and leftover chicken.
I’ve been having a few bad experiences with the local produce in my neighborhood, so decided to grab a frozen bag of greens instead (plus I was way too lazy to prepare and cook collard greens). This wasn’t the best brand, but it got the job done (sadly, there are few choices for quality produce in the Bronx).
I added some vegetable broth and Bragg’s Liquid Amino into the mix too. I think these are definite necessities in the kitchen. Vegetable or chicken broth can enhance the flavor of nearly any dinner, or be eaten alone or with a simple bowl of rice. Bragg’s Liquid Amino is a perfect soy sauce substitute, with a much fuller flavor and healthier ingredient base.
I also added sesame seeds and italian seasoning into my dish. It was a super-quick meal for a particularly rainy night :)
